Jeff Wadlow to helm new X-Force project?

Rumour mill has the Kick-Ass 2 director bringing a new Marvel team to the big screen for Fox

Rumours are flying that Fox have their eyes set on making a screen version of Marvel's X-Force comic.

The rumour began when fan site X-MenFilms.com noticed that the studio had registered the domain name X-forceMovie.com some months ago in much the same way that they registered a domain name for 'Days Of Future Past' long before the film was announced.

The story has subsequently been backed up with news on 'The Hollywood Reporter' that 'Kick-Ass 2' and 'Cry_Wolf' writer/director Jeff Wadlow has been signed up to write the adaptation with a possible view to directing as well.

Regular X-Men producer, Laura Shuler Donner will be overseeing the new film.

The comic book series was launched by Rob Liefeld in the early ‘90s, and introduced fan favourites like Cable and Warpath as part of a new team of mutant heroes.

Fox are expected to make some pretty important announcements at the forthcoming Comic-Con regarding future projects, so it looks as though this may be among them.
