As filming continues on 'Fast & Furious 7', Jordana Brewster has admitted there will be a Paul Walker-shaped hole in the cast.

Production on the latest film in the franchise was halted when the actor was killed in a car crash last year. And though the actress hasn’t yet returned to set, she has opened up about resuming work on the film.

"I haven't been to set yet, but I imagine it's going to be very difficult," she told Access Hollywood.

Brewster went on pay tribute to her co-star, who played her on-screen husband in the films.

"I just remember seeing this stud walk into the room [the first time] and he had this bleached-out hair," she said. "I met him as a baby and I saw him grow into an awesome, amazing, charitable man.

"It's not often you get to work with someone for so many years and he was so exemplary in the way he lived. He was more beautiful inside than out."

The actress is due to pay tribute to Walker at this weekend’s MTV Movie Awards.

“Paul Walker was a role model for the MTV audience since the very beginning of his too-short career,” MTV president Stephen Friedman said.

“Our audience grew up with him, from Varsity Blues to the Furious franchise. He was a movie star, but one they could relate to. Paul's humanity and kindness clearly showed through every role.”

“We're honoured to be able to spend a moment in this year's Movie Awards to celebrate him,” he added.

'Fast & Furious 7' is scheduled for release on April 10, 2015.
