The way the story rumbles on in the second half and collapses in the end

I really enjoyed this movie because the context is very special, there aren't that many serious films on dictators, or Uganda. So just the settings and the context make this film special.

The blend of fiction and historical fact is what makes this film intresting, however it is also this that ultimately spoils the movie... Indeed some parts of the movies seem rushed or poorly set up naratively because the director had to force his "fictional" story and character building to blend with some historical events, for example the main scottish character is exagiraltely oblivious to what goes down around him, and some elements of the story especialy the love angle are really clumsely set up.

I would recommend this film if you like forest whitaker, or if you like movies with historical backgrounds...
