Of all the 'Friends' Lisa Kudrow has arguably enjoyed the most successful film career. Roles in The Opposite Of Sex and Wonderland have proved that she can do a lot more acting wise than just playing ditzy ol' Phoebe, while box office successes like Romy And Michelle's High School Reunion have certainly helped her Tinseltown stock.
This outing finds Kudrow playing Marci Feld, the spoilt and credit card happy daughter of an ailing music mogul. So when the pressure of promoting the latest album from controversial rapper Dr. S (Damon Wayans) puts her dad out of action, Marci steps in to try and clean up Dr. S's act and get the business back on it's feet. But with a hostile press, a headline hungry politician and the Dr.'s girlfriend to deal with, it's not going to be easy.
While this outing may not feel as fresh as the sitcom with which Lisa will always be associated, it's still plenty of fun. Kudrow can certainly do comedy while Wayans plays up the whole bad boy image, and you can be sure there are a few rap superstars who would recognise a bit of themselves in his character.
