The Pizza Underground sing about, well, pizza.

Macaulay Culkin's new band debuts bizarre video

It's the natural progression for a former child movie star... form a Velvet Underground covers band and sing songs about pizza.

But then Macaulay Culkin has become something of a maverick since his 'Home Alone' days, to say the very least.

The Pizza Underground has now debuted its first music video, with a medley of songs inspired by the late Lou Reed's iconic band, but with a cheese-topped slant.

Among the songs on offer in this first promo are 'Pizza Gal' and, perhaps best of all, 'Take a Bite of the Wild Slice'.

Though this might seem like a joke, it appears the New York-based five-piece is at least semi-serious, with its first demo having been unveiled just before Christmas.

They are now heading out on a nationwide tour of the US, starting in Brooklyn at the end of the month.

The Pizza Underground will then head west, arriving in San Diego in March.

US readers would be advised to get a pizza the action.

Sorry.
