Turn your nostalgia dial up to 11 - the cast of 90s family favourite ‘Matilda’ have reunited, posing for an amazingly cute group photo.

Actress Mara Wilson, who played the quirky titular character in the 1996 Roald Dahl adaptation, posted the pic to her Facebook page over the weekend.

Spotted alongside the ecstatic looking Mara (front, in pink) is Pam Ferris, who played Principle Trunchbull, Jimmy Karz, better known as Bruce Bogtrotter and Miss Honey actress Embeth Davidtz.

Director Danny DeVito and wife Rhea Perlman, who also played Matilda’s on-screen parents, are in there too.

Mara herself, now 25, announced her retirement from acting last year – stating in a made-for-viral blog post that celebrity culture had become “ridiculous” and the auditioning process was “brutal and dehumanising.”

The former child star, who was also in 90s hits such as ‘’Mrs. Doubtfire” and the remake of “Miracle On 34th Street”, is now thought to be focusing on her academic career having recently attended New York University to study art.

Mara recently published an essay that appeared on Cracked.com discussing why child stars “go crazy” in later life.

"Not many child stars make it out of Hollywood alive or sane,” she wrote, “and at any given time there are at least three former ones having very public breakdowns.” (Think Macaulay Culkin's gaunt photo...)

Glad to see your not amongst them Mara.
