Ms Marvel To Appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron?

'Avengers: Age of Ultron' is starting to get a little crowded, with fresh rumours that Ms Marvel is set for a role in Joss Whedon's bumper sequel.

The big news last night was confirmation that Paul Bettany - who has voiced Iron-Man's on-board computer Jarvis in previous films - will play The Vision.

However an additional little titbit arose from Latino Review, who reported that Ms Marvel will appear in some form.

Latino Review reports that the casting of Carol Danvers - who goes by the name of Captain Marvel as well - is the final piece of major casting for the film set to start shooting in the coming months.

'Battlestar Galactica' actress Katee Sackhoff was linked to the part last year, but her name hasn't been brought up again for months.

Many superheroines have assumed the mantle of Ms Marvel but Carol Danvers was the first, followed by Sharon Ventura and Karla Sofen among others.

Her inclusion would serve as proof of Marvel's intention to diversify their roster of superheroes from the established collection of white dudes and Scarlett Johansson.

Elizabeth Olsen has joined the cast as Scarlet Witch and a TV show starring Hayley Atwell based on her 'Captain America' character Agent Carter is in the works as well.

Ben Skipper is a big Marvel nut and proud Whedonite. Impressed by what Marvel have done with their 'Avengers' films, he won't be truly satisfied until Mark Ruffalo's Hulk gets his own movie. Come on Marvel, make it happen already! You can follow Ben on Twitter@bskipper27.
