Much like Cera's Superbad, this is a day in the life of two teenagers. In this case, the titular Nick and Nora - the former nursing heartbreak after his first love cruelly trashes his elaborate mix cd's, while the latter secretly pines for Nick after falling in love with his tunes.
Kat Dennings plays Nora, and she forms a winning partnership with Cera's Nick. The pair are able to master the art of adolescent gawkish vulnerability amidst the polished wisecracks.
It may be little more than a cinematic mix tape but the flimsy plot is almost endearing amongst the bloated summer blockbusters around at the moment.
Much like the two leads, Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist’s charm will rub off on you long before the closing credits.
And the whimsy fun doesn’t stop after the film. The Blu-Ray and DVD comes with a series of extras – the highlight being the impossibly cute Denning’s interpretation of the film using only puppets.
