Two ex-Harvard buddies are sharing an apartment in Boston. Freddie is attempting to make a documentary about an Italian American neighborhood. He needs the approval of Dom Di Bella, a guy with a high profile in the community due to the many film roles in which played, interestingly enough, a gangster. Di Bella and his cronies espouse racist and sexist attitudes calling it Italian chauvinism but are encouraged that a paisan like Freddie will do right by them in his film. Mac, Freddie's roommate, is a yuppie investment banker who seems to out-Italian the old-timers due to the possessive way he treats his girlfriend Danielle.
