The third in the comedy series is set for a May release next year, and is likely to be the last.
Early details on the plot for the latest excursion for Alan (Zach Galifianakis), Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms) and Doug (Justin Bartha) are scarce.
But Galifianakis let slip in an interview with Rolling Stone that he believed the final film to have ditched the format of the first two films, instead finding the members of the wolf pack breaking Alan out of a mental hospital.
The first film saw them head to Las Vegas for Doug's bachelor party, and then to Thailand in part two for Stu's wedding.
This latest is rumoured to feature LA, Las Vegas once more and Tijuana in Mexico among its locations.
The first two films grossed an enormous £667 million between them.
