Hear Benedict Cumberbatch voice dragon Smaug for the first time.
The new trailer for ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’ reveals Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of the villainous dragon for the first time.
“Truly, the tales and songs fall utterly short of your enormity,” stutters Martin Freeman’s Bilbo Baggins, talking to the shadows to “Smaug the stupendous”.
“Come now, don’t be shy,” comes Cumberbatch’s rumbling reply. “Step into the light.” Terrifying.
The ‘Sherlock’ star also plays mysterious antagonist ‘The Necromancer’ in the film.
