Nick Fury’s role in Avengers 2 is just a cameo
The cast and directors of ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ update us on Age of Ultron.
Samuel L Jackson said Nick Fury’s role in the upcoming 'Avengers: The Age of Ultron' is a glorified cameo.
Talking to Yahoo while promoting ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, he said of his character: “I’m just kind of passing by there [in ‘Avengers 2’] you know. I’m not doing so much, I don’t think.”
“Because, it’s another one of those ‘people who have powers fighting people who have powers’. That’s why I didn’t get to New York in ’The Avengers’. There’s not a lot I could do except shoot a gun."

Another Marvel characters that didn’t make the cut for ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ is Anthony Mackie’s Falcon, who makes his debut in ‘The Winter Soldier’.
“‘Avengers 2’ starts in two weeks and I haven’t got a phone call from anybody,” explains Mackie, “So I’m guessing I’m not in it."
‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ is in UK cinemas now.
