Robert Rodriguez's infamous gun-wielding Mariachi returns and he's out for more revenge in this action-packed (and tongue-in-cheek) adventure.
Set several years after Desperado (and the original Rodriguez's original El Mariachi), we find Antonio Banderas's guitar-strumming killer a broken man. Personal tragedy has torn him apart and he's opted for a life in the shadows. When the opportunity to get even with the man who left him for dead comes around it proves too good a chance to turn down. With friends Lorenzo (Enrique Iglesias) and Fideo (Marco Leonardi) at his side, the bullets are about to start flying once more.
The stellar cast includes Johnny Depp and Salma Hayek plus the formidable return of Mickey Rourke. Shot in am astoundingly short time and with (by Hollywood standards) a miniscule budget, this is the film Rodriguez fans have been waiting for. He may have entered the family market with his Spy Kids trilogy, but the Texan has always had an eye for over-the-top action and it's delivered in spades here.
