Synopsis

This film examines the confusing, painful and ultimately healing circumstances that occur when Ellen Gulden, an ambitious young Manhattan journalist, is forced to move back home to help her middle-aged parents through a crisis. Little by little, Ellen discovers that these are two people she has always loved but never really known. As the months pass, she finds herself growing from a child, who is merely an extension of (and a reaction to) her parents, to a woman who knows who she really is and is finally able to appreciate her parents as human beings.
