2006 horror hit Hostel provided inspiration for this fleshfest which ticks all the right boxes for the teenage audience.
Five intrepid tourists in Brazil are stranded after their bus plummets over a cliff. Landing on a beautiful beach they find little need for clothes. Unfortunately they have strayed into the lair of an evil doctor who's dismembering people for their organs.
Our Americans are led by Las Vegas' Josh Duhamel and The OC's Olivia Wilde, both of whom boldly go where TV scripts won't take them. After half the movie passes setting up what little of the characters the rather wooden cast can communicate, while also establishing the requisite nudity quota, it's into the rainforest to meet the mad doctor.
There's an attempt at a post-Iraq political subtext but it's really all about the horror which is amped up t the max in the 'Extreme edition' which was never seen in cinemas.
