Models on the big screen

The release of ‘Battleship’ this week (11 April) sees yet another model-turned-actress hit the big screen.

Brooklyn Decker plays the lead female love interest in the alien action flick, but she started out as a Sports Illustrated and Victoria Secrets model and only recently moved into films (with a small role in ‘Just Go With It’ alongside Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler).

Brooklyn Decker plays the lead female love interest in the alien action flick, but she started out as a Sports Illustrated and Victoria Secrets model and only recently moved into films (with a small role in ‘Just Go With It’ alongside Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler).

It’s probably too early to say if she’ll make it as a Hollywood star, but the route from catwalk to red carpet can be a treacherous one... as these successful (and not so successful) models who tried their hand at acting prove.
