When stunt casting goes wrong

Obviously really really struggling for 'showbiz news' at the moment. I mean as previous people have said if it is a spice girls movie then how can the five 'wannabees' cameo?
Also one that they didn't mention was fergie, and Sir Richard Branson, both of who were in English films, and didn't exactly make life easy. Can't remeber the films but can remember that it took a long time to complete the takes (think Richard Branson was in a 'Del Boy' Film special).

Whoever wrote this is an idiot of the first magnitude! Exactly how do the Spice Girls 'cameo' in their own film? Also, Neil Diamond, Michael Jordan, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and Hulk Hogan were ALL the stars of those respective films. Whether those films and / or performances are any good is a moot point. These aren't examples of stunt casting. They are either vanity projects or films made off the back of an artist's popularity in their own field.

Yvonne Elliman who originally played the part wasn't an actress and she was amazing.

The person who wrote this needs to be fired! sometimes its not about the "acting" of the person with the cameo but the fact that its the person doing the cameo itself! mike tyson, ketih richards especially, i dont think anyone cared about how bad they can act but its just the fact that its them in the movie! get a new job!

Celebrity movies are the ultimate form of product placement and they are hardly new, pop stars make movies because those who will flock to see their idols on the silverscreen are not in the least bit concerned whether they can act or not, it's just another dose of what they're hooked on. Some make good actors or actresses eventually but mostly the movie companies just make a lot of money from second rate movies. What's usually much worse though is when great actors decide to try their hand at singing !

Of course any celeb can act! It is all down to ego and the fact that a big name may bring a larger box office. It is not just film, we have it in panto as well. And on tv we have celb this and celeb that. Even the magazines have headlines that some 4th rate hasbeen blew their nose.
