The actor, who has a combined fortune of over £172 million with partner Angelina Jolie explained that "it’s never enough and it’s a whole new set of problems, just with a different scale."

The 'Moneyball' and 'World War Z' actor went on to say: “I hit the lottery so I think you need to pass that on."

However, he admitted that “you can’t get to every beggar on the street because you end up with nothing in your pocket.”

He also revealed that the family don't go in for shop-bought presents at Christmas, going for a more personal touch instead.

“We try to keep the money spend to a minimum and miss manipulative TV ads. The rule is everyone’s got to make something,” he added.

Despite the comments, the couple have run their charity the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation since 2003 and have donated millions of dollars to worthy humanitarian causes around the world.

Currently the family is living in Surrey while Pitt shoots new Ridley Scott film 'The Counselor' and Jolie films 'Maleficent'.
