The tragic life of popular Mexican folk singer Lucha Reyes, who rose to fame during the 1930s, amidst the tumultuous artistic climate following the Spanish Civil War. Frustrated by broken relationships and a constant craving for love and acceptance, Lucha began a downward slide into debauchery that climaxed with her 1944 suicide.
