River of No Return 

A man, having served a prison sentence for killing someone in defense of another, returns to his town, picks up his young son and resumes his life on their farm. Soon, a local woman--a saloon singer--and her scheming boyfriend enter the ex-con's world. The boyfriend steals his horse to go find some gold, and the father, the girl, and his son jump on the river raft back into town to find him. Along the way, the father falls in love with the saloon girl.
