Robert Pattinson too old for more Twilight films

Edward Cullen actor says he won't be appearing in any more Twilight films after Breaking Dawn - Part 2

Robert Pattinson has ruled out making any more ‘Twilight’ movies, because he’s already “too old” for the part of shiny vampire Edward Cullen.

Stephenie Meyer recently teased that she could be persuaded to write more 'Twilight' novels, which would surely be adapted into movies given how much the franchise has already made at the box office (£1.5 billion and counting).

But if there are any more vampire adaptations after 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2', don’t expect to see Pattinson, 25, appear as Edward Cullen.

Promoting his new film ‘Bel Ami’ at the Berlin Film Festival, Pattinson said: “I'd be curious what Stephenie would write, but I just think I'd probably be too old.

"I'm already too old. But yeah, it'd be kind of interesting."

Recently Lionsgate co-chair Rob Rob Friedman said that if Meyer wrote a fifth instalment of the series, the studio would “be there to support her” with another film adaptation. Meyer hedged her bets, saying she was “not going to say no,” but didn’t give a definite “yes,” either. Watch this space on that.

The final instalment (for now) – ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ - is released in the UK on 16 November 2012.
