This was so much worse than I could have ever imagined it to be. Don't get me wrong, I am not some cultured holier-than-thou movie reviewer who doesn't rate comedies as they have no soul and not enough artsy moments. I like some of Ferrels other flicks, Anchorman is truly inspired and Elf is brilliant. Nor am I above toilet humour and juvenile gags....I own South Park DVD's and loved Superbad.

This however, failed to live up to expectation. It had it's moments that were funny and enjoyable, along with some truly cringeworthy moments that even Ben Stiller would have been proud of. The problem was that it all seemed to be separate sketches, stuck together with masking tape and never really got to grips with having a continuous flow to it. It failed to have the charm of some of Ferrells other movies and his over-the-top acting seemed a little too much at times for the situations they were in.

Overall the story was a great concept and is still and OK watch, but just not what I had hoped it would be. Watch the trailer and you will have seen most of the best parts anyway, the rest just seems like filler to be honest, but if your bored and need a film to watch then it does entertain for a while, just not for the full 2 hours of the movie.
