Another police-thriller, from the king of cops David Ayer, 'Street Kings' sees Vice cop Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) go up against the cop-culture in which he's been brought up and embraced, after he's implicated in the death of his former partner (Terry Crews).
With an interesting premise, and a plot that could develop further, the film ultimately falls flat on it's crown. Ellroy's screenplay, is predictable, annoying and clichéd, while Reeves performance as the anti-hero, who you ultimately don't care about, is as wooden as a barn door.
'Street Kings', has been seen before, and done before (and better), it's a typical good-cop-bad-cop-with-ambiguous-moral-issues, that ends with a typical ending. Nothing special.
