It was a very good film, acting and visual effects were fantastic, but there was just too much singing, and i dont think some people knew it was a musical type film, some even walked out walf-way through. Apart from that the film was fantastic. full review

I was very curious about this movie as I am a big fan of Johnny Depp. The title as a historical legend was appealing. I usually like musicals as well. But the songs in this were just all the same dribble. Oh Johanna...for God sake. No catchy music just v... full review

Originally, I didn't want to see this film as the musical aspect turned me off. I'm so glad I was wrong, I saw it in a completely different light. The song 'carried' the film and dictated the pace to such an extent that was looking forward... full review

awful, walked out halfway through after falling asleep. ' I feel you Joanna'? Oh please, 'I feel you toilet bowl' more like. Far too operatic, was expecting a more bugsy malone style film, with more dialogue and less warbling. full review

You can tell from the moment this film starts that Tim Burton has waved his magic wand and created a film which set a new genre, treating a topic like the Sweeney Todd story as a musical may seem to be a bit of a crazy idea, but, in this case it only adds... full review
