A documentary on legendary Afro-Cuban drummer and composer Francisco Aguabella, coined as the master of the bata, a special ceremonial drum. Aguabella has stayed true to spinning his ceremonial, hypnotic rhythms; even though he's played with pop musicians from Peggy Lee to Paul Simon, drumming for him still remains his sacred passion.
