Scream set for TV series
Horror franchise to make the move to the small screen
Wes Craven's 'Scream' is making the move from the big screen to the small one.
MTV has given the green light to turn the franchise into a TV series, following the release of 'Scream 4' in 2011.

Industry site Deadline reports that producers Dimension Films are trying to persuade original helmsman Wes Craven to direct the first pilot episode.
MTV has been mulling a TV version of the movie series, which flipped the horror genre on its head when it first emerged in 1996, since last year.
It then went on to spawn three sequels, the fourth emerging in 2011 - eleven years after 'Scream 3' - but to less fanfare than its previous installments.
So far there is no word on who might be writing or starring in the rebooted series, but it's slated for the summer of 2014.
