Kyra Sedgwick has revealed her husband Kevin Bacon is more afraid of mice than horror movies - with one notable exception.
The 47-year-old actress admitted they were "terrified" when they first saw The Blair Witch Project.
"He gets spooked by mice. Probably not horror movies so much," she said at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film The Possession.
"But we watched The Blair Witch Project back when we actually thought it was real. In the beginning it sort of made the rounds in Hollywood and people actually thought it was real. And let me tell you, it was really, really scary."
The Closer star added: "We watched it in our house in Connecticut. We were like 'Oh my God, that's real, that's happening', and we were terrified."
Kyra and Jeffrey Dean Morgan play the parents of a girl who becomes obsessed with an antique box containing a malevolent spirit in The Possession, which is produced by Spider-Man director Sam Raimi.
"I've always been a fan of horror, and if you can do a really good one, it can be an everlasting, terrifying memory for people. I was haunted by The Exorcist, The Omen and The Poltergeist as a kid, so I wanted to be part of that genre," she said.
The Possession opens in UK cinemas on August 31.
