Skyfall: Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Deakins back for Bond 24 and beyond?
Producers hope crack team assembled for ‘Skyfall’ will return for several films.
‘Skyfall’ writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade were promoting the release of ‘Skyfall’ on DVD, and Yahoo! Movies got to grill the duo on all things James Bond.

First up, the inevitable question about the sequel. They wouldn’t confirm whether Sam Mendes would return as director, but they obviously want him to.
“Sam did such a fantastic job. I’m sure everyone would like him to come back and do another one,” said Neal Purvis.
Purvis added that the casting of Ben Whishaw as Q, Ralph Fiennes as M and Naomie Harris as Moneypenny in ‘Skyfall’ was to set up these actors for roles in future films. “Judi Dench is a hard act to follow but Ralph [Fiennes] is not too shabby himself. And he knows his Fleming as well.”
Broccoli and Wilson seem fairly certain that the behind-the-scenes talent like cinematographer Roger Deakins, nominated for an Oscar for ‘Skyfall’, and production designer Dennis Gassner will also return for ‘Bond 24’ alongside Mendes.
“We’d love to have them all back, they’re really top notch,’ said Wilson. “[For] the next film or two, I hope so.”
They said that at the moment there was no script yet, but think the next Bond films “can’t be romps, and they can’t be completely serious”.
A bit like ‘Skyfall’ in other words.
‘Skyfall’ is out on DVD and Blu-ray now.
