Tommy Chong says he's beaten cancer using marijuana

Canadian actor credits the use of 'hash oil' for his recovery from prostate cancer

Tommy Chong, the star of the 70s and 80s 'Cheech & Chong' stoner films, has said that he's beaten cancer with the use of marijuana.

The Canadian actor was diagnosed with prostate cancer in the summer of last year, but now says that he's 'cancer free'.

He credits the use of 'hash oil' for his recovery, and care from his doctor in Victoria, British Columbia, who changed his diet and gave him other supplements.

He told CelebStoner: “[I treated] the condition with hemp oil (hash oil). With the diet, the supplements and the hash oil, plus a session with a world-renowned healer, Adam Dreamhealer, I'm cancer-free.

“That's right, I kicked cancer's a**! So the magic plant does cure cancer with the right diet and supplements. I'm due for another blood test, MRI, etc., but I feel the best I've felt in years. And now for a celebration joint of the finest Kush.”

Chong starred in a slew of films with co-star Cheech Marin, starting with 1978's 'Up In Smoke', with the pair getting up to various pot-related capers.

They also released over 10 albums together.

Last year, the pair said there were plans in the pipeline to release a new film, with a new script in place.
