Twins sequel to be 'reverential' to the original
Triplets script being written by actor/writer Josh Gad.
The 'Twins' sequel 'Triplets' is moving ahead, with its scriptwriter speaking about how the project is moving on.
Actor and writer Josh Gad – you may have seen him in 'The Internship' and he also plays Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in 'Jobs' – says that he's already sorted out the tone of the movie.
“We’re very reverential to the original, but have our tongue firmly in our cheek. As it needs to be, it’s very modernized,” he said.

“It’s taking them into the new world and it’s acknowledging that comedy’s changed a lot in 20 years.
“If you saw 'Twins' and it was released as a movie currently, you’d be like, ‘This is really strange,’ so we honor that and we respect it, but we also play on it.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger has been talking up a sequel to the 1988 movie where he and Danny DeVito's character play IVF twin brothers for several years.

And now it's actually happening, with Eddie Murphy poised to play the pair's long-lost brother.
According to Gad, a first draft of the script, penned by he and partner Ryan Dixon, has been handed in to Arnie and his team 'to much enthusiasm'.
They're now working on a second draft.
As yet there's no slated release date.
