Shailene Woodley: Divergent duo would defeat Hunger Games stars

The actress is confident Tris and Four could take down the ‘Hunger Games’ leads in a fight.

Shailene Woodley and Theo James think Tris and Four, the two leads of new "young adult” franchise ‘Divergent', would defeat ‘The Hunger Games’ characters Katniss and Peeta in a fight.

We wanted to know who would win in the ultimate YA movie mash-up battle royale – Tris and Theo, Katniss and Peeta, or Bella and Edward of the ’Twilight’ franchise and the pair were fairly confident of their victory.

“[Who would win?] Us! Hands down.” Shailene exclaims in our video above.

“I guess [Tris and Four] are military guys, so you would hope so.” adds Theo.

Tris and Four play two star-crossed lovers brought together in ‘Divergent’ to train as Dauntless, the energetic faction that brings law and order to the dystopian Chicago of the film.

Tris endures a grueling training regime that teaches her hand to hand combat, weapons, and military tactics, that the pair believe would give the ‘Divergent' characters the edge over Panem’s Katniss and Peeta in the battle arena.

Woodley has been critical of ‘Twilight’ in the past telling Teen Vogue that the hit franchise is based on a “very unhealthy, toxic relationship”, but she didn’t seem too sure her character could take them on in a fight.

“They’ve got special powers,” said Theo.

“Oh yeah, right. Maybe not us then!” adds Woodley.

‘Divergent’ is in UK cinemas from today.
