While this is obviously marketed during Valentine season to snare some unsuspecting loved up couple looking for a romantic comedy, we would implore you to relent from purchasing this risible laugh free fest.

Starring American Pie's Jason Biggs and former Home and Away star Isla Fisher, it starts promisingly enough. Biggs's attempt at proposing to the love of his life doesn't get the desired response (she dies of a heart attack!). Cut to a year later and he's still struggling to get over it. For no known reason he decides to propose to a waitress he met seconds before, and for no known reason she says yes.

What should have at the very least been a farcical tale of a couple struggling with the pressures of marriage preparation, coupled with the fact that they're still getting to know each other instead becomes a series of slapstick gags that miss the target so frequently you're almost embarrassed to watch any more.

But worse, as it suddenly forgets the premise and adds more and more outlandish situations - like them going on the run with Fisher's fugitive father and the rest of the in-laws shows just tell you how silly it all gets.

It's a shame, as not only are Biggs and Fisher likable in the right role, but writer/director Michael Ian Black also wastes the fine comedy talents of Joanna Gleason, Edward Herrmann, Joe Pantoliano and Rob Corddry.
