While 2005's White Noise might not be considered a horror classic, it was obviously considered entertaining, or lucrative, enough to spawn this sequel.

The original starred Michael Keaton who, while grieving the loss of his wife, discovered that he could communicate with her through EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon), which is basically a voice heard through white noise.

Now we have NDE (Near Death Experience) and the idea that after a close brush with the Reaper you might reject the white light but you could be followed on the way back to consciousness.

B-movie 'legend' Nathan Fillion stars this time, taking over from Michael Keaton. His character has had a near death experience himself and now sees dead people on telly, and can tell when people are about to die by viewing their auras. He decides to try to save people, which doesn't go down well with old Beelzebub.

The fascination and fear of the unknown makes the near death experience intriguing for most and just about manages to propel this mildly frightening/entertaining movie. DVD extras include deleted scenes.
