2005's White Noise starred Michael Keaton who, while grieving the loss of his wife, discovered that he could communicate with her through EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon), which is basically a voice heard through white noise.
An interesting premise for a film that didn't quite generate the expected levels of fright. Even, the most loyal and dedicated horror fan would've probably thought that any sequel would be transported straight from the editing suite to DVD shelves but that's not the case as it gets a full cinema release.
Now we have NDE (Near Death Experience) and the idea that after a close brush with the Reaper you might reject the white light but you could be followed on the way back to consciousness. B-movie 'legend' Nathan Fillion stars this time, taking over from Michael Keaton. His character has had a near death experience himself and now sees dead people on tellt, and can tell when people are about to die by viewing their auras. He decides to try to save people, which doesn't go down well with the Devil.
The Devil needn't worry too much, though, because few people will take notice of this pretty tedious film.
