Sam Worthington is set to star in action-thriller For The Dogs.
The Clash Of The Titans star would play an assassin, who helps a student seek revenge for the murder of her parents and brother, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Sam would also co-produce the movie, which Phillip Noyce is on board to direct.
The big-screen adaptation of Kevin Wignall's novel of the same name has been written by Oren Moverman.
Sam, who has starred in Avatar, Terminator Salvation and Man On A Ledge, is to reprise his roles as Jake Sully in Avatar 2 and Perseus in the third Titans film, Revenge Of The Titans.
