"Happy Gilmore" (April 1)

Adam Sandler's classic comedy stars the Sandman as Happy, a not-too-good hockey player who switches to golf to help save his grandmother's house. His long drives off the tee and bad-boy antics make him a hit on the tour.

The movie is topped by a great supporting role from Carl Weathers as a golf pro with a wooden hand, trying to show Happy how to really play golf. Plus, one of the best cameos ever: Bob Barker, who ends up fighting Happy during a Pro-Am.

"The Matrix" (April 1)

It's the movie that changed the action genre forever due to its slow-motion shots and gravity-defying fight sequences.

And Keanu Reeves delivers one of his all-time best performances as Neo, who must be convinced that he's living in a simulation and open his mind to become "The One."

"Molly’s Game" (April 1)

In this drama based on real events written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, we follow Jessica Chastain as Molly Bloom, a former world-class skier who launches a poker empire that catches the attention of the FBI.

"Smokey and the Bandit" (April 1)

After being Burt Reynolds' stunt double for years, Hal Needham had a wild idea for a movie he wanted his friend to star in, with Needham directing: a bootlegger who illegally transports 400 cases of Coors beer to Atlanta.

The movie would change Needham's career forever as it became one of the biggest hits of the late 1970s thanks to Reynolds, Sally Field as his co-star, and a lot of fun car chase scenes.

One of the steamiest movies of the late 1990s, thanks to Neve Campbell, Denise Richards, and Matt Dillon, all inhabiting the same swimming pool, "Wild Things" is also an outlandish thriller. In the film, Dillon, as a high school guidance counselor, attempts to clear his name following career-debilitating accusations.

"King Richard" (April 24)

Will Smith earned an Oscar win for his performance as Richard Williams, the father of Venus and Serena Williams.

With unconventional tennis training methods and a drive to get his family out of Compton, Williams will do anything to prove that two Black girls can make it in the predominantly white sport.

The movie works because of Smith's embodiment of the flawed yet good-hearted Williams.
