10-Foot Wide House In South London Goes On Sale For £800,000

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for believing you were looking at a garage with a nicely done second storey extension.

But you would be wrong. In fact, it’s the latest example of London’s out-of-control property market.

It’s actually a 10-foot wide house – and is up for sale for a staggering £800,000.

Arranged over two floors, the property manages to fit in two bedrooms, reception room, kitchen and bathroom.

It also has a large private garden.

The property, which is close to Peckham Rye park, is in up-market East Dulwich.

Nearby Dulwich Village is one of the capital’s most sought-after areas south of the river.

The advert, listed by estate agent Foxtons on Zoopla, reads: “This unique two bedroom house, boasts bright and modern interior, with fantastic open-plan reception and kitchen area, private driveway and garden.

“Barry Road is located just moments from Lordship Lane, which offers a great selection of amenities, while Peckham Rye park is just a short walk away.”

In fairness, the house, which extends backwards, is reasonably spacious.

However, it’s fair to say that in the north of England your money would go a lot further.

In Sheffield, for example, several six-bedroom detached properties are listed around the £800,000 mark.

Similarly, just outside Manchester, you could get a five-bedroom country retreat.
