2001: New exhibition showcases rare behind-the-scenes illustrations from Kubrick classic

In 1965, Stanley Kubrick invited famed magazine illustrator Brian Sanders to the set of his new science-fiction movie ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’. Kubrick always worked a closed set and was the only person allowed to take photos, but Sanders was granted unprecedented behind-the-scenes access.

Those stunning illustrations, plus work from his days at The Sunday Times Magazine, Nova Magazine, and his recent ‘Mad Men’ illustrations are all being displayed together for the first time at The Lever Gallery, London.

Brian Sanders: Selected Works runs from 12 May until 31 July, 2017.
