Amazing photos: Surfer takes on giant Belharra wave

A brave surfer was pictured tackling the giant Belharra waves off the coast of France on Monday.
The wave is only surfed by experts who are towed out by a water scooter.
Thanks to certain climatic conditions in autumn and winter, a strong swell hits the Belharra Perdun underwater spur enabling a 10-15 metre wave to form.
Belharra is located around two kilometres off the coast of the French Basque Country town of Urrugne.
