A baby was on top of the world as he tottered around a mountain summit.
Little Joel Russell, 18 months, was carried up the top of Beinn Dubh, near Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute, by his dad, Kyle, 27.
The tot, who has been walking since he was a year old, was given walking poles which Kyle made small enough for him to use.
Dad-of-two Kyle said: "He was saying 'where are we going, where are we going?'.
"I made the walking poles the right size for him.
"When he's in the carrier, he can see things, he loves it.
"He's the happiest wee guy and he loves spending time with me.
"I got to spend a lot of time with him in the lockdown and it's been really great for both of us."
Kyle, from Kilwinning, Ayrshire, was ranked the 17th fittest person in Scotland last year and it took him an hour-and-a-half to carry the 13kg tot up the mountain, and another hour down again.
He was trying out a route for a mountain trail for a crossfit event he organises at Loch Lomond, Argyll and Bute, which has been cancelled due to coronavirus.
Fitness enthusiast Kyle added: "I own a gym which has been closed but this is a slower pace of life."
