28 Weeks Later star addresses return for new movie
Imogen Poots has addressed her potential return for the third instalment of the 28 Days Later movie trilogy.
Poots starred as Tammy in 2007's 28 Weeks Later, the direct sequel to Danny Boyle's 2002 smash hit 28 Days Later, which starred Cillian Murphy as lone survivor Jim following a brutal rage-inducing epidemic.
With a new film in the franchise officially confirmed, Poots has addressed a possible return to her role while appearing on The One Show, opposite hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas.

"Oscar winner Cillian Murphy, he was in 28 Days Later," Jenas said to Poots. "You were in a sequel, weren't you... I hear there might be a 28 Years Later coming out – would you be open to reprise the role?"
In response, Poots said: "I loved working with that group of people, I mean, I'd jump at that."
Following up, she then pointed out a pretty serious flaw in her possible return.
"But I'm confused because if it's years later, then I suppose with a zombie apocalypse, everyone gets free Botox, because otherwise we're all going to be looking ancient, right?"

Murphy recently addressed the third instalment of the series himself, revealing that although he was absent from part two, he'd gladly reprise his role as well.
"I can’t give much more at this point," he told Variety. "But I've always said I would love to be involved because that movie changed everything for me – I have great affection for it and for those guys, [Alex Garland and Danny]. I never watch my own films, except that one.
"It's always on around Halloween and during the pandemic people were constantly sending me clips. And I've shown it to my kids. It's really stood up, even though it's 22 years old now, so I'm really thrilled that we'll get the band back together to make this one."
28 Years Later is currently in development.
