A Mystery Oscar-Winner Is Mocking Leonardo DiCaprio

Some Oscar-winners keep theirs on a shelf in their office. Others in the downstairs toilet, or as a posh doorstop.

But one also uses his to taunt Leonardo DiCaprio.

- Damon is ripped in first look at Bourne 5
- The movies ruined by bad acting
- Variety is sorry for announcing Terry Gilliam’s death

To explain… it all started online – as these things so often do – with a poster called Supposedtobefunny123 on image hosting site Imgur posting a cruel jibe at our Leo for never having won an Oscar.

It showed the foot of Margot Robbie in a still from ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, keeping DiCaprio at a safe distance, with Robbie’s body replaced by a big Oscar statue.

What happened next, however, was when things got a bit weird.

Another poster then replied with what appeared to look distinctly like a real Oscar in the foreground, in front of their laptop with the original photo on.

Add to this the user’s name, iHasnOscar, and soon wild speculation begins to mount as to who this person could be.

Some pointed out 'well, we know you aren’t Leo’, which was mildly cruel, but others were keen to discover the poster’s real identity.

Eventually, a reply came, and with another veiled barb at Leo, but it was sadly still very much anonymous.

“Watching Revolutionary Road. I had to pause to go to the bathroom when suddenly…” the post was titled.

“It’s real. Stop asking me who I am please. I’m shy,” iHasanOscar then replied.

It’s probably Christian Bale.

Next up, Leonardo is in ‘The Revenant’, from Oscar-winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu, who scored Best Picture, Best Screenplay and Best Director for ‘Birdman’ last year.

So, y’know, finger’s crossed. Check out whether Leo looks Oscar-worthy below…
