Aaron Taylor-Johnson is glad he's not in Fifty Shades of Grey

We might be disappointed, but actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is relieved he didn't get cast in the lead role in the Fifty Shades Of Grey movie.

Before his wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson, was attached as director, fans of E. L. James' saucy book suggested the Kick-Ass hunk should be cast as the sadomasochist millionaire Christian Grey, but Aaron admits it would have been a bad decision to team up with her on such a highly anticipated film.

He tells Nylon Guys magazine, "I think it would have been the wrong kind of hype to bring toward us. It would have been kind of funny that this character that all these women fancy - he's one in a million - and my wife picks her husband to play the part?

"I would love to have done something together again, but it wouldn't have been Fifty. We were both on the same page."

The part originally went to Sons of Anarchy hardman Charlie Hunnam, who dropped out in October and was replaced by Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan.

While Aaron would been a great choice, we certainly can't complain about Jamie!
