Adam Sandler reprises Happy Gilmore to mark 25th anniversary
Ready to feel ancient? Adam Sandler's classic sports comedy Happy Gilmore turned 25 this week.
To celebrate this special anniversary, the man himself reprised his character in a video uploaded to social media yesterday (February 16), which sees him out on the green once more.
A bearded Sandler tells the camera: "OK, it's been 25 years since I've done this. Let's see what happens – I'm scared; Shooter McGavin this is for you..."

As you'll see below, the actor proceeds to smash a golfball out of shot with aplomb.
In the comment section, co-star Ben Stiller offered a funny response: "That's a beautiful swing Mr. Gilmore. Congrats on your anniversary, and being such a loving grandson. So happy to be a small part of taking good care of her during her "golden years" [winky-face emoji]."
Inspired by Sandler's homemade video, Shooter star Christopher McDonald struck back with his own reprisal, and it's hilarious.
"Nice drive Gilmore. 25 years huh? Let's see if it's Shooter's tour – check it out," he says from his lounge. "Oh yeah, it's all about the short game. Drive for show, putt for the dough."
