Adam Sandler has teamed up with Netflix for another movie, and we now have our first look.

Released next month, Hubie Halloween sees the Uncut Gems star play eccentric community volunteer Hubie Dubois, who winds up at the centre of a murder case on Halloween night.

"Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts (and its legendary Halloween celebration), Hubie is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike," the official synopsis adds.

The spooky comedy is a reunion on a number of levels, the first being for Sandler and director Steven Brill, who have worked together many times on films like Little Nicky and Mr Deeds.

Meanwhile, Happy Gilmore's Julie Bowen co-stars as Dubois' love interest, while Grown Ups cast members Kevin James, Maya Rudolph, Steve Buscemi and Rob Schneider also have roles.

Basketball star Shaquille O'Neal, Goodfellas' Ray Liotta and Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson round off Hubie Halloween's eclectic cast.

Elsewhere on Netflix, South Korean zombie hit #Alive is worth a bite if you can't wait until Halloween.

Streaming now, the film has proven massively popular with its native audience, grossing more than $13 million at the box office despite COVID-19.

#Alive features Yoo Ah-in and Park Shin-hye as Jun-u and Kim Yu-bin, who must attempt to survive a mysterious virus outbreak that spreads through Seoul and turns its victims into flesh-eaters.

Hubie Halloween lands on Netflix globally on October 7.
