You didn't really think Matt Baker was going to leave his job as co-host of The One Show without at least one more awkward celebrity interview, did you?

It hasn't necessarily been a great week for celebrity interviews on BBC chat shows, though thankfully a slightly awkward moment during Tuesday's (February 4) edition of The One Show was of the humorous variety.

Matt and his co-host Alex Jones were welcoming Hollywood icon Al Pacino and co-star Logan Lerman to discuss their Nazi hunter Amazon Prime Video drama Hunters, when Al went to leave mid-chat.

As they went to show a VT about Al's career, the actor began to stand up. "I was just going to leave," he admitted.

"No, no, you're not done," Matt assured him.

"I'm over it," the legendary actor quipped.

Elsewhere during the chat, Al mentioned that he often dreams about his roles.

"Did you dream about The One Show [last night]?" Alex then jokingly asked.

Alex's quip was completely lost on Al, whose frozen expression made it completely obvious that he had no clue he was currently appearing on something called The One Show.

Alex then pointed out: "This is The One Show!"

Pacino had a chuckle at his mistake, then answered her question politely: "Oh, I should have [dreamt about it]."

Al shouldn't be embarrassed! The last time Sir Michael Caine dropped by The One Show, the hosts had to apologise when he dropped a swear word before the watershed.

The One Show airs Mondays through Fridays at 7pm on BBC One.
