It's the North Norfolk comedy event of the decade, and it's finally landed on the internet.

Title-wise, 'Alan Partridge: The Movie' seems to be out of the window in favour of 'Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa', with 'Alan Partridge: Colossal Velocity' coming a close second.

Plot-wise, Alan (Steve Coogan) gives little away, other than mention of 'a seige' and a desire for the action to include 'heavy kissing and guns'.

Guns have indeed appeared in a snapshot from the set, where Alan is seen brandishing a rifle while seemingly crazed on Cromer Pier.

But other than that, details on the Armando Iannucci-penned feature-length excursion for Norwich's leading exponent of sports casual-wear are scant, other than Iannucci's desire to keep Alan in his preferred domicile.

“Alan is in Norwich. It's not 'Alan goes to Hollywood'; it's not 'Alan invaded by aliens' or anything like that,” said Iannucci last summer. “He's on North Norfolk Digital, which is taken over by a bigger media conglomerate and has it's name changed to Shape. And that kicks everything off.”

Starring alongside Coogan is Tim Key as Alan's sidekick, Sidekick Simon, while his PA Lynn (Felicity Montagu), Geordie petrol station worker Michael (Simon Greenall) and rival DJ Dave Clifton (Phil Cornwell) will also appear, along with Colm Meaney and Sean Pertwee.

Declan Lowney directs, and it's due out on August 7. Jurassic Park.
