Aldi’s New Glassware Is Giving Us Pottery Barn Vibes for a Fraction of the Price

It’s the perfect vessel for lemonade or sangria.

The Aldi Finds aisle, with its home goods and seasonal items, has become the hottest place to get value kitchenware and decor. It's sometimes called the "Aisle of Shame" by Aldi shoppers because they just can't say no to look-alike Le Creuset cast iron cookware or a copycat of a "perfect" vegetable chopper. Aldi's kitchenware is often good quality and usually functions as well as its higher-priced counterparts.

But unlike the higher-priced items, Aldi Finds are here today and gone tomorrow. They show up weekly, and when they're gone, they're gone.

In addition to cookware and kitchen prep tools, Aldi sometimes has tableware that's on trend. A few weeks ago, the store featured glassware that looked identical to the current Williams-Sonoma Modern Optic Highball pattern. While the W-S set of four retails for $79.99, the Aldi set was only $9.99. I don't know about you, but with the way glassware breaks, I'm just as happy with a pretty glass that costs $2.50 rather than a pretty glass that costs $20.

Aldi’s New Crofton Hobnail Pitcher

This week, Aldi has a 40.5-ounce Crofton glass pitcher with a hobnail design, an on-trend vintage style of glassware with bumps and raised studs that add beautiful design and texture. Pottery Barn currently has the 35.5-ounce Jupiter Pitcher with a similar beaded design for $29.99. Aldi's pitcher is not an exact copy of Pottery Barn's, but they both use vintage hobnail design elements in an eye-catching way. And for $9.99, Aldi's version does precisely what Pottery Barn's does—holds beverages. The Aldi version holds just a bit more liquid and comes in three colors: clear, light blue, and light green.

While it's a kitchen item that will come in handy year-round, right now, we're envisioning this pretty pitcher on an outdoor table, maybe in the backyard or on an apartment balcony, holding homemade lemonade in the spring or a refreshing batch of watermelon sangria in the summer.

Aldi's Crofton glass pitcher shows up in the Aldi Finds aisle on March 13 and will be available while supplies last.
