Alec Baldwin scraps with photographer in New York

Another day, another run-in between Alec Baldwin and the paparazzi.

Yesterday the irascible actor was involved in a rather public altercation with photographer Paul Adao as he went for lunch in New York.

Adao tried to take a picture of Baldwin's wife Hilaria, and it's alleged that he then followed them into a tea shop where they had gone hoping to evade him.

Baldwin then scuffled with the photographer, pinning him to the bonnet of a car.

The police were called, but neither Baldwin nor Adao decided to press charges.

Adao has refuted claims that he harassed Baldwin and his wife, who gave birth to their daughter Carmen last week.

“All I can say is I was doing my job and asking him normal questions and he flipped. That's all,” he told TMZ.

It's far from the first time Baldwin has clashed with the press. He was pictured tussling with another photographer outside the City Hall in New York last year.

He also threatened a British reporter from the Daily Mail over the summer, after his wife was accused of tweeting during the funeral of James Gandolfini.
