Alison Hammond has said she is open to the idea of adoption in the future as she has "so much more love to give".

The This Morning TV presenter, who is mum to 16-year-old Aidan, revealed that she would have loved more children, while crediting her son for "enriching my life in ways I never even imagined".

"I was so nervous about becoming a mum in the beginning, and I look back and think: 'What was I nervous about?'" Alison told Hello! magazine. "He has enriched my life in ways I never even imagined. He's brought so much joy, I can't imagine life without him."

She continued: "My one wish would be that I'd had more children. I wish I'd had another three back then. I would totally consider adoption in the future. I've got so much more love to give – I don't think I'm done with one child, I'm just not. Aidan has already got two sisters and a brother from his dad's side, who he still sees."

Meanwhile, Alison made her co-hosting debut with Dermot O'Leary on This Morning back in January, as the TV stars stood in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during school holidays.

She recently confirmed a new role on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Take Away, sharing a photo of her dressing room door at the ITV studios which had an Ant & Dec Saturday Night Take Away sign on it, along with her name.

Alison also recently launched ITV's first ever podcast titled My Life In TV, which features fellow ITV stars discussing their favourite TV shows, career highs and lows, reminiscing about the TV shows they loved during their childhood, and sharing behind-the-scenes details from their own shows.

This Morning airs on weekdays on ITV.
